  1. Despite owning a wargames manufacturing company and thus having access to lots of shiny toys I have not done much in the way of gaming for several years now. So I have taken the rather rash decision to do something about it and do some gaming and modelling before the hobby, which I have loved since the age of 12!, turns into nothing more than a job.

So where to start? Well In Her Majesties Name is a good starting point for now, I have watched people play the game at shows and its seems like jolly good fun, also as if by some strange coincedence it fits right in with Ironclad's VSF range!

I thought I would do a company based on the British Rifle Company but using the Royal Navy Armoured Boarding Party figures and I have called them the Special Boarding Section or more commonly Known as the SBS. I have used a pack of each to form the basis of the unit.

Instead of classing them as wearing a breastplate I will count them as wearing a chainmail shirt to keep the points values down.

  2. One thing I have wanted to do for a while now is start a blog to share my interests and progress with various projects for a while now. There are many great blogs out there at the moment which I find quite inspiring and I hope people might find this new blog inspiring to.

So where do I start? Two of my main interests are the colonial period and the Victorian Sci-fi genre and as such that is the main thrust of our business as well. I started sometime ago writing a set of rules for VSF gaming and one of the things that I hope to get on with this year is to get them finished and play tested. The rules are for games that would involve 50/60 figures aside plus vehicles.

As well as the rules I have a bunch of new figures planned for the VSF and historical ranges. At the moment I am trying to finish a couple off things that have been on my bench for a while now, well it’s more than a couple actually!

Another thing I am determined to do is play more games this year and get to grips with several personal projects which have laid in various boxes and bags around the unit for far too long. Then again I wouldn’t be a true wargamer if I didn’t have at least half of my wargames collection unfinished or unpainted!

  3. As you may have noticed we have a new website. This is due to various and many problems we had with the previous website which included customers trying to place orders and with updating the site. After listening to our customers about the experiences they had with the previous website, we took the difficult but necessary decision to have a new website, where we hope we have resolved these issues. We hope you like the new site and we think and hope you will find it more user friendly.

We would like to thank all of you for your kind patience whilst we have been resolving these issues and development of the new site. As always we encourage our customers to send us feedback good or bad.
